~ About me ~
My name is Nikki Jones, and I am the face behind Caballito Leather, and originally I come from Newmarket , England, the HQ of horseracing.
An experienced horsewoman and ex professional groom, I have more than 30 years experience with Horses and all equines.
I am a self employed Leather Artisan based on the Costa Azahar in Spain, where I live in a rural village with my family.
Academically, I also hold a Diploma in Graphic Design, with Art being my second passion after horses
I found leatherwork as a hobby back in 2019, having always had a keen interest in Saddlery. I quickly developed skills during the pandemic in 2020 and taught myself the art of tooling leather.
Over the years I have challenged myself with learning many different techniques, made a wide range of projects, from Bags and wallets to bridlework and dog collars.
In 2024 I decided to launch Caballito Leather officially as a Brand and now in 2025 I am specialising in making the products that I love.
